If this gets the green light do they build it this summer?
From what I have heard, they’ll start building in this summer but it won’t be fully operational until next year.If this gets the green light do they build it this summer?
Keep dreaming…….The dream for me would be that this gets built and can incorporate Dicks bar, they remove entirely or move the police box to the north east corner, and in doing so it gives them the room to build a proper north stand upper tier with the necessary concourse. We can but dream...
I would say that may will be the long term plan. Also heard rumours the club shop may move to a different location on the stadium site and that space repurposed for more match day bar / food use which will mean Dicks is no longer required. I suppose it all first hinges on the fanzine happening.I’m slightly worried as a north “shelfer” that they are going to turn Dicks Bar into a new experience and move us on

I best start work on the protest bannersPossible
“Dick’s Bar will remain open as a pre-turnstile bar in the short term, before being incorporated within the new Fan Zone to help facilitate further future development of our facilities in the North Stand”

I still think we missed a trick by not calling it the Knights Inn.Possible

Oh great now three songs will be sung at the same time if that happensThe dream for me would be that this gets built and can incorporate Dicks bar, they remove entirely or move the police box to the north east corner, and in doing so it gives them the room to build a proper north stand upper tier with the necessary concourse. I wonder if TB toyed with the idea of Dicks outI still think we missed a trick by not calling it the Knights Inn.
These clueless uninformed NIMBYS will never learn:
There were 4 public comments to the planning app , one was anonymous / not available , one negative , two positive.

This is going to bring additional football fans to the local neighbourhood extending the time they are in the area creating additional noise in the evenings after football matches. More disturbances to the neighbourhood from these football fans.

This will spread the arrival and departure of fans and reduce the congestion caused by everyone moving at the same time. The stadium is already one of the best in the premier league. This facility will make it even better.

This is a fantastic addition to the football stadium, creating a much needed area to go to when the weather is adverse. Currently many fans have to travel either early and go home late to avoid the congestion of people before/after matches. This will provide a place to go which we currently don't have. This will also provide lots more employment for local people,
Maybe not a NIMBY, but perhaps a very jealous palace fan? These clueless uninformed NIMBYS will never learn:

I guess if you’ve just been humiliated 4-1 and are looking at a third season finishing well below your rivals having given them 4 points for the last 2 seasons whilst simultaneously being miles behind in just about every metric of a good / big club, it will make you so desperate things…Maybe not a NIMBY, but perhaps a very jealous palace fan?
This ‘development’ is surely the proposed 1901 north stand shelf?Possible

Well one thing is very certain in my mind, the club are always two steps ahead. Time and time again announcements for things have come out of nowhere that they’ve managed to keep hushed until the right time - players, infrastructure…This ‘development’ is surely the proposed 1901 north stand shelf?
I think that the club will make its way to the 32,500 capacity target seeing a new the north stand shelf and north east corner box step by step. Just like our rise up the tables.
They have obtained planning permission for it I believe but plans were put on hold (I’m guessing) due to huge rising prices in construction.Well one thing is very certain in my mind, the club are always two steps ahead. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if they just turn around one day and announce just what you’ve described having done years of diligent planning in the background.
It’s just how Mr Bloom and Mr Barber operate. And it’s heaven.
I really hope they do. Would make the stadium look so much more finished & balanced. That gap in the north east corner and the grey space above the north stand looks like such a mistake in the architecture. This ‘development’ is surely the proposed 1901 north stand shelf?
