The club state the venue will be used for “music gigs”. I wonder what exactly this means? Be amazing if it’s a proper music venue like others in Brighton but difficult to see how they can book gigs day in, day out given there will be inevitable clashes with games.

Looks like the end of Dick’s Bar as well.

Overall though, a very positive addition.

I’m struggling to work out the size of this in my head.
From the pictures it looks small, but given the plans for Dicks to move into it and the potential as a venue for other events it must take a fair bit of space.

It says Dicks will be “incorporated” into the new building. My guess is they’ll simply name a bar after him and stick that mosaic on a wall nearby.

Looks like from the band stand/burger vans out to the blue circle on the floor with the seagull on it for the footprint.

That’s what I thought - the pics show it near a lower elevation of the main building with a smallish gap but it’s all a bit ‘artist’s impression’ so can’t be sure
