No one is saying we should be top of the league because we have the most possession, it's just an interesting fact.

Gus is doing something bigger than winning or losing, promotion or relegation and that's giving you a style and a philosophy to carry forward for the next decades!

Brighton are earning the identity as a good passing team, would much rather follow Brighton than Stoke or Reading for example as Brighton actually try to play good football first and foremost.

Agree with this totally. Some of our football yesterday was excellent.....yes, football is a results business but thankfully we have a manager who believes in doing it the right way. Would not enjoy the Stoke way

Trying to keep the ball rather than just hoofing it. Being patient with the ball and not just playing it into the channels.
I remember watching a game about 2 months into Gus's reign when the ball was played at speed to AEA at chest height. He chested it down and passed the ball. Gus got off the bench and 'clapped' him. Before Gus came along AEA would have headed it upfield and we would have lost possession.
The point I'm making is that the style of football we now play is more like that of a Premiership team, although we don't always have the quality of player to execute it.
