No. Don't they just. Did they think Nike were going to give us exclusivity on BLUE?

It's not the end of the world, of course its not and it will only be for 1 season as we'll change it next year. I just prefer blue and white stripes. And even if people say its nice for a change, or its a nod to our 83 relegation season, thats fine, but surely people must be able to recognise that blue and white stripes is part of the club's very identity. So rather than being precious, the people who are irked by it feel like we've lost something that makes us "us". But yes I'm sure we'll return to stripes at some point, so no harm long term.

Most neutrals I've spoken to think our new kit is superb. Guess they're not as fussed about whether it is "true" stripes or not.

I'm sure we will. It simply isn't true to suggest we've only EVER played in stripes though.

We started (as BHAFC) in solid blue and I make it TWENTY SEVEN of the club's 119 seasons, we have strayed from traditional stripes.

Folk annoyed there is little difference between us and Pompey here.

Except there is.

Two divisions.

I've never said that we haven't played in just blue before. And even if we have on occasion played in just blue, I think its fair to say our blue and white stripes are part of our identity as a club. If you asked most other football fans around the counrty to name something about Brighton & Hove Albion (Family Fortunes style), I think blue and white stripes would be the top answer. So I think it's understandable that some people don't like the new kit. But in the grand scheme of things its not a big deal. You can definitely tell it's the offseason when we're all bickering over things like this.

They'll all look very smart picking up their League 1 Play-off Final loser's medals next season.
