New Players

To be honest i remember Bowditch when he was a 16 year old at Ipswich an he looked very good, but as you say injuries have taken their toll on the poor sod

We do NOT have money to be flagrant with, OR positions we can afford to lose players from. If he's injury-prone, then it really doesn't make one whit of difference how good he is. Laying at home with his feet up listening to SCR is something I'll gladly accept a decent wage for, but I'd rather not have our players doing that.

We could have a World Cup international squad on our books, all out injured - and we'll drop like a thing that drops very quickly.

Ditto, A good team starts with a good Keeper.

and Kuipers is good! honestly i really still don't get why the downbeatness about the bloke is - YES his distribution may still be called into question but nigh on every keeper we've had has been shit in that area.

Kuipers is good but we've had better. He makes many mistakes but because he is a spectacular shot stopper a lot of fans will forgive him anything.

Blimey those trains go a bit lively these days eh Braders?!

decided to give it a swerve in the end , save my money for the others

and like whom? Henderson was good but also had faults (distribution again and lack of commanding his box) Roberts was brilliant but again Distribution seemed to be the lacking point and after a few howlers/close calls he didn't fill me with confidence everytime he went up for a ball and they are really the only two in recent years i would put in Kuipers league (bit unfair to throw Blaney,Shaaban,Flinders,Yelldell etc.. in)

Kuipers seems to be the only one to control his defence. Non of the other keepers have and that's where you get the uncertainty.

A good keeper sees all the play infront of him, defenders need the keeper to warn them of danger, when to hoof & when to play.

Peter Grummit was the best keeper i saw for Albion, in his short time. he controlled the defence so well that he was rarely called into action but when he was he did the job. That gives a defence confidence.

Abort, retry, fail
An unnamed source told me that we are in for a certain winger/striker from a Championship club situated in Suffolk.

This source (via a 3rd party) also revealed that Virgo was to be sold way before it came out.
