Albion look further forward

Dean White today admitted the goalposts keep shifting when it comes to looking for new players.
But it looks like midfielders and strikers top the list as the
Seagulls aim to work the loan market.
Albion have been badly hit by injuries, as well as a handful of suspensions, to their already inexperienced squad this season.

They reckon they have got it right defensively with the return of Adam Hinshelwood and Guy Butters.
Now more creative players are likely to be targeted as the two Deans thumb through their book of Premiership and Championship contacts.
Asked what sort of player he and manager Dean Wilkins were after, assistant boss White said: "From week to week the requirement has changed because of the injury situation.
"If everybody is fit you start targeting areas. At the moment, with the injuries, we are not really sure.
"We've got Chippy (Richard Carpenter) and Dean Hammond out, we've lost Paul Reid so we are quite light in midfield.
"If they were fit we would be more than covered and we would be looking somewhere else. The back four is looking decent now. We are quite happy with that.
"It's really going to be forwards and midfield players where we are looking to strengthen."
Albion's current no-frills line-up across the back have conceded one somewhat freakish goal in each of the two games they have played together.
Scunthorpe scrambled an equaliser after Adam Hinshelwood's clearance had hit the bar, then they were caught out by a change of ball by the alert Scott McGleish as he took a very quick throw for Northampton.
White added: "The goal on Saturday was a one-off thing. We were gutted about it "Northampton have got the joint best away record in the league and we should have beaten them.
"We are disappointed with that but we look solid. We have worked on the training pitch on the defence.
"It is starting to look better now and we need to look further forward on the pitch."
Adam El-Abd was part of the defensive strategy on Saturday, playing in midfield just ahead of the back four.
Albion were happy with his effort there. White said: "Adam has done quite well but we are still working on him. He has come into the team and done great.
"He has had a little dip in form but he is a good player. He is part of the future of this club.
"Young players have little dips in form, that's the nature of them. That's why they come into the side then have to go out. Some of them have to stay in longer than would be ideal.
"They are coping with it. It was a good result on Saturday but it should have been better. The players were disappointed but we're playing against a team who have got a great away record and we should have beaten them.
"Hopefully we have sorted out the back four a little bit. They might have a little blip every now and again but that happens.
