I am getting a new phone for free (new contract) so was wondering which one to get. Anyone had any experiences with the Samsung Tocco or Samsung Pixson??
I already have an iPhone and that's what I am getting rid of (will use money from that to buy an mp3 so don't really need one in the phone).

Thanks guys. x.

And are you looking to sell your iphone??
Yes, looked on ebay. Think I could get around £250 for it. So that money will go into buying an Ipod touch or classic.

Is this the same with the ultra version as well??
Was leaning more towards the Pixson anyway. Better camera.

I've just got my first ever contract for a phone as my very old PAYG had just about had it.

Got the LG Renior after reading lots of reviews about these new touchscreen jobbies. On the whole I'm very pleased with it as the price was good on 3. As you mention camera, I don't think you'll go wrong with the 8mp gadget laden camera on the Renior.

My only criticism would be that youtube is shite on it compared to a friends Iphone I've seen, and the volume is set very low ( but I'm onto geeky forums to hack the manufacturers settings to hopefully fix that ;) )

At withdean on Saturday I'm now going to be one of the geeks checking scores on my phone and trying to watch the match at the same time. Not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing ? Might even take some pics and video and try to post on here - if for no other reason than to piss Das Reich off

No sorry. Looking for a 32gb. Filled up my 16gb iphone. Part of the reason for getting a new one.

I have decided to go with the Pixon as I can get it for free. Was gonna go with that LG but it is gonna cost me £100.

I'm intrigued by this. By my calculations, 16GB is about 250 hours of music - you'd have to be listening it continuously (with no sleep) for more than 10 days before you repeated a track. How is this not enough?

(I write as someone who's thinking of upgrading from 1GB to 4GB as i reckon 4 should suit all my needs).

I'm not being sarky - I'm interested why people want so much on a portable device. Are you expecting a long spell of solitary confinement?

The great thing I've found with the iPhone (as opposed to iPod Touch) is that you can call up tunes not even on your device just by searching it on YouTube.

This is great for taking requests at parties when having it linked to a sound system or boombox on the beach.

It annoys me having to chop and change. What if I am out and have an urge to listen to some music not on my player? You can get a 120gb for £175 so why not? (that is the classic not the touch).

Also with an Iphone you dont get 16gbn of music as some is taking up with internet bookmarks, contacts and loads of crap which you can get rid of. You get between 13 and 14gb.

I've got a Samsung Tocca - or that should be tossa.

Steer clear...As Dannyboy says, they're rubbish for photos.

I also have an issue with the wear & tear of the phone...The screen scratches really easily and the silver paint chips away easily.

The battery life is pants as well meaning that you have to charge it every night...

I'm tied into mine for another six months...which is too long!!! AVOID!

Read some reviews and they seem to agree. They say the touch screen is shit so going from an iPhone touch screen to that will be pretty shit.

O well, the search continues.

I got the LG Renior for free on an 18month contract with 3 for what I thought was a good deal compared to all the other networks I looked at.

I've always been with Orange but was prepared to go with anyone offering a good deal. Heard good things about 3 and in the few weeks I've been with them I'm more than happy.
