I've pretty much finished tinkering with the look and feel of this new version of NSC now (other than adding smilies to quick reply) so if you have any comments or ideas for improvements please post them here.

Please note that you can choose the look and feel that you personally see using the style selector in the very bottom left of every page. This can also be selected from Options in your User CP. Once selected you will get that format every time you visit NSC.

current "vBulletin 2 Default" looks good, better than the first go at v3, which was not nearly so neat as what we had grown used to and liked.

Its groovy! I like when you vote in a poll and when you see the results - the one you voted is in italics! coooool!!

My only problem is that it doesn't all fit into one page view and I keep having to use the sliders at the right and bottom, not sure if thats true for everyone or just me?

oh, and another question (not terribly important tho) when you click on whos online, to see what people are viewing, and go down to the guests - who is Yahoo Slurp Spider??

What browser are you using? On my Firefox I can make the screen quite narrow and the page just adjusts - no scroller bar. The only exception is in reply as the smilies seem to go quite wide.

That'll be Yahoo indexing NSC for when people search.

Good old standard internet explorer? can I sort it in there somehow?

ahh - haven't the foggiest about that yahoo stuff, but eased my inquisitive mind thanks!

I like it!

One thing I have found posts posted from the future on the end of threads, I can't find the other one but this is one

http://www.northstandchat.biz/showpost.php?p=2040464&postcount=79

Posted on the 12th July 07? It keeps bumping the thread back up when there is no new post.

Ta - the date and time got buggered up yesterday briefly and a few posts were made. I thought I'd deleted them all but obviously missed a couple. That one has gone now...

Its funny now. When you backwards and forwards it sort of fades into the next screen! I like that. I bet that was nothing to do with Arthur though.

What's with this fading people are talking about? Mine doesn't seem to do that.

Though I must say after my initial disappointment I'm growing to like the new place already.

It's kind of like if we'd moved from the Goldstone straight into Falmer, you'd get loads of people moaning about it, but growing to love it. However, the chances of anyone daring to moan once Falmer is finally built are (hopefully) slim, having endured such a wait.
