the fans still have thoughts on being the top club in Sussex

Do they ? I have literally never heard a Crawley fan say that, nor the local press nor anyone else in fact.
Have you just made it up ?
They may sing the old "one club in Sussex" song but I don't think anyone ever expects Crawley to be the Top club, most Crawley fans are thankful just to be in the football league !

Dermot Drummy?

He joined the Chelsea academy in 2007, and progressed from managing their U-16s to their U-18 side (when a certain Paul Clement moved up from the U-18s to the reserves), and then became the reserve team manager himself in 2011. In the summer of 2014 he was "promoted" to the position of "International Head Coach". One Chelsea blogger, at least, was unconvinced it was actually a promotion, and felt they were moving Drummy out of the way to enable younger coaches to be advanced (with Adi Viveash moving from the U-18s to the U-21s, and the young Joe Edwards taking charge of the youth team).

In August 2014 Sky Sports News reported that Palace wanted to speak to him about becoming their new manager. And in December 2014 the Mirror reported that we had him on our list - Dermot Drummy

Crawley seems a job with very little future but the fans still have thoughts on being the top club in Sussex

Or is that just a load of rubbish ?
