Can anyone do a mock up without the sponsor panel? I simply can not see beyond the "H" , my brain simply can not see it as stripes, just a blue front with a bloody big H on it, especially as the stripes dont go to the top of the shirt

They made a thing last season about adding blue and white stripes to the charter or some such- and i just dont see stripes with this, without the panel it may look ok-ish, maybe thats what the club were shown and agreed before the sponsor panel was added

it would be a very brighton thing to do if they finally order a million shirts in all sizes and then have a tiny fraction of the number sold, thus vaidating the previous policy of under ordering so as not to be left with loads of unsold shirts-

i can see all the kids with cardboard signs saying "please do NOT give me your shirt"

Same. The only stripes are the central blue one and the central yellow one created by the big white "H". The fact the club website and shop make such a big deal of "INTRODUCING THE BLUE & WHITE STRIPES" and "two white and three blue stripes" implies they see it too, because otherwise they wouldn't have to make such an effort to explain what this abomination is supposed to be because it'd be obvious.

As previously mentioned I exchanged an old shirt for a voucher for a new one. I don't like the home shirt at all and the away one not far behind. The cynic in me is wondering if the shirt exchange was simply a ploy to get fans to wear the new kit.
Home kit: blue and white stripes, blue shorts, blue or white socks. End of.

Absolutely - the club are on the back foot here. I've actually found the reference to the club shirt in the updated Articles (changed in March this year to include this item)....I thought I'd heard Tony Bloom referencing "blue and white stripes", but I must have mis-remembered, as the actual wording only states that we will play home matches in shirts that are "predominantly blue and white".

I'm thinking about dropping them a line and asking if they'll take the voucher in exchange for a training top or something instead.

I was a bit meh about the new home kit, but now I'm loving it - unfortunately I can't afford to buy one though, looks like I'll be dragging out the same old aged top this season!

Love it or hate it, appears we're actually fairly lucky to have it available:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-62256634

"Fewer than half of English Football and Premier League clubs have both their new home and away kits available to buy online ahead of the season, as manufacturers face supply chain issues.

Only 44 out of 92 clubs currently have both their 2022-23 season kits on sale."

Brentford away.

Looks like they've reverted back to their old 80s/90s badge. Quite a bit of fart-arsing around, they've only had their current badge for 5 minutes.

Ben Mee is a great signing btw.

Well now..

Reading: "It's to provoke conversations about climate change across the football community".

No doubt, there will be a new shirt in 12 months...
