This'll be why they gave away the vouchers then. They are specifically only exchangeable for a "brand new home shirt" for the 22/23 season. Early realisation it's the only way they'll shift them.
Found these on Twitter, kind of what you’re talking about. Looks a damn sight better than that yellow stained monstrosity.

6. The Voucher: Each claimant (up to a maximum of 250) will receive 1 x voucher to the value of a full price Adult Home/Away shirt, redeemable at the Brighton & Hove Albion Superstore (in-store only).

it looks better in this than the first pic, but i can not unsee the "H" and that ruins it for me- white trim is much better
You saying that reminded me that although i have often seen training gear and warm up tops etc in various sales online and at the shop i have never seen home or away matchday kit at reduced prices . I have always assumed that they do not do this even if they have excess stock so as not to undermine future demand or because they have an agreement with the manufacturers not to do so .

That has middle aged dad from five ways "village" written all over it
Did they learn nothing from when they wore the yellow and blue kit last season?
I was feeling positive about the coming season but now I've seen our new home colours I'm full of anxiety.
Does that mean Fatboy Slim might be revealing it tonight?
