I'm not just talking about kit though Edna. Also signings and staff. I can understand with the staff situation though. But we look like we are heading into pre season with a barebones squad. The weakest we've been since Gus left.

Squad maybe but 8 of the first 11 that would probably start if the game was tomorrow have Championship play offs on their CV's + Toko who could be a revelation

Better position than many.

That is a good effort. I understand Southampton had some kind of falling out with adidas resulting in the contract being ended, and hence why they have needed to self-manufacture kits.

If I was a southampton fan, I'd be proper chuffed with that effort. Stripes are back, the black shorts are back. The only random bit is the socks, which I also like.

Southampton have dumped Adidas after one season and gone completely bespoke, designing and commissioning their own kit. And it has stripes on the back.

I wonder what their sales will be like.

Well, let's see: just off the top of my head, Derby and West Ham have released theirs today (same as us), Man United haven't released theirs yet even though it's been leaked, which rather suggests that we don't.

I seem to remember that last season's shirt was one of the first to be released. Getting the disappointment out of the way early ...

It was announced way back in March, a few days before the St Patrick's day massacre, so we don't always leave it 'late'!

That's not only a terrible kit, but one of the worst photoshop jobs you'll ever see. They all look like cardboard cutouts and the ball isn't even touching the ground!
Indeed. Rooney's feet are in line with RVP, but somehow his shoulder is a foot in front. They've got nice strong light on their faces, and soft imaginary shadows on the grass. I'm not sure what the bright lights on the roof are doing.
