Liverpool's new shirt is gorgeous:

that is a brilliant kit, it reminds me of the england kit at the 2010 world cup.

simplicity at its finest, others should take note (similarly, i like rangers' and celtic's new kits for the same reasons)

also the new leeds shirt looks like a bloody training bib

Liverpool fans are apparently very unhappy with the badge as it has gone back to its 1970s , 1980s look and moved the Hillsborough flames from their badge to the back of the shirt

Expect righteous indignation, phlegm spewn rants on 6-0-6 and Talksport, self pity, Twitter campaigns, mawkish poetry, death threats to whoever designed the shirt, and no mention of those who died at Heysel then for the next week.

Too true. The 96 and Justice flames has been moved on the shirt, big woop. It's still on there ffs. Completely missing the point they're about to have probably the best (well, second best after ours obviously) kit in the football league.

They might at least have mentioned it to them and they have been moved to the back of the shirt which could be taken as a snub. I think they could at least have mentioned it.

They where contacted, the issue is which i was not aware of is that there are a number of Justice for 96 groups, not just the one, one group is not happy. But the BBC seem to be making a huge deal out of it

That makes sense. I did wonder why they wouldn't have tried.

This isn't true. The club took advice from the Hillsborough Family Support Group who were supportive. The HFSG were the first group to be formed after the tragedy. The Hillsborough Justice group were not consulted and it is this group that is unhappy. As somebody else has said the BBC are trying to make a story out of a non-story. As the club said they couldn't consult everbody.

And from what I've read the fans love the move back to the simple Liverbird.

simplicity at its finest,

Looks nice for sure, but why make the new kit £5 more than the old kit?

Yup that's what I've read. The HJC group are the ones in the wrong, the statement the put out was awful too. I've read theres widespread approval of the kit, and lets face it, it looks pretty damn good in that photoshopped-heavy photo.

Pathetic post, if you took the time to look into what you are saying you would perhaps see the truth but perhaps you simply don't want to.
Most LFC fans love the new lit, including the flames and "96" on the back collar.
One group, the HJC have voiced concerns against it as "It" wasn't consulted about the changes. The main group "HJSG" which has worked with LFC from day one was consulted and agreed with the revisions.
The majority of fans agree with how it has been done. You, have been reading the usual daily mail, S*n and other red tops crap trying to stir up problems that don't exist.
Get a life man! (Or woman).
