[Albion] New Kit Manufacturer

Or just maybe, given that statement was made a year ago, something has changed since then and it now won't be?

Conflicting information in this thread. On one hand the deal with Nike is apparently due to expire and there's been no word on a renewal. On the other, they said the Hyper Turq would be third kit for this season.

It is possible that at the time they announced it there was an intention to renew with Nike that was all done bar the signatures, that has since then fallen over or been hijacked by a better offer from another supplier.

Stop talking sense on here. punish:

It's really not that difficult to understand.

Hyper Turq is confirmed as the away kit colour for next season

Nothing has been said that confirms who is making it.

The colour is not exclusive to Nike.

Surely will be released before the womens 2022 euros, huge opportunity to shift loads in the store?

There's zero chance of a new kit supplier coming in and creating a turquoise third shirt.

If they did (they won't), they would have to change the design as the sleeves are Nike's bespoke pattern.

And if they did (again, they definitely won't), would "The shirt will also be the third kit for the 2022/23 season" ring true? Nope!

I suspect Nike do own the trademark to the Hyperturq colour. They own the trademark to the Volt green from a few years back for example.

I wonder how many fans under, say, 25 want our kit from anyone other than Nike or Adidas? A tiny percentage, I'd guess.

With football shirts you're affiliating with a team rather than a brand so I'm not sure that logic applies in this case

Going down the rabbit hole here there's some interesting geeky stats. Didn't realise we had 6 kit variations last season and can't find photos that show sock/shorts variation to make 6 either? https://kitgeek.wordpress.com/category/kit-news/

That is one huge kit fetish going on there.

Interesting though. Had Arsenal only worn their home kit they may have got into the top four.

Simple as that.
