New Kit - Few Questions

Question for those with the current kit - Has your sponsor panel fallen off? Does it look better without it? And, can you post a picture of it?

I'm tempted to buy one and wash the shit out of it so that the sponsor panel comes off, as I think it would look great without it.

No issues with the sponsors logo here, no damage or peeling & still looks fine (and has been worn and washed a fair bit)

do Nike really not do fully printed shirts for other clubs, are Barca and QPR iron on?

Yes they are.

But Nike do make shirts with fully printed sponsors in the far east, south america, and oddly enough, for teams in the Australian A-League. Oh, and in Ukraine.

Can't we write a letter to someone, I don't know perhaps that Barber bloke?

You can, and he'll tell you how important it is that we make as much money as possible and that its just not viable for us to do something that differentiates us from the rest. We can't do things our own way any more because this is the way it is now in football.

If Nike cannot understand how to do a shirt with an iron on logo or refuse to do it then bin them off. Pathetic that a company of that size cannot do it. Adidas please.

Would love to see blue and white stripes all around the shirt this time, that's the traditional kit, not all blue.

I'm guessing there will be some mention of 115 years on there too, so maybe they will go a little retro.

Why would there be any mention of 115 years on the shirt? 100 years, or maybe 150 l could well understand, but 115 doesn't seem to have much relevance, or am l missing something?

Such a shame the sponsor panel mess won't change as I'm not paying any money for a shirt in this shit state.

The Brighton & Hove Jobs sponsored shirt will just have to remain in my regular rotation for the foreseeable future.

Is there any easy way to get the shit sponsor panel off the current shirts? Maybe buy a couple of sizes too big and then bung it in the wash at a high temperature three or four times?

Not sure, but the club are making a big deal out of it with the Season Ticket campaign, using the whole "Together 115 years" thing.

125 years is also made a big deal out of.

I have been checking this out.

You can buy a specialist solvent to spray on the back, though a regular spot remover spray or acetone may also work.
Careful use of a heat gun/hairdryer and peeling. Get any patch too hot and you'll melt the polyester.
Lay some greaseproof paper on top, iron and peel. Again be careful due to melting risk.

Must admit I HATE iron on sponsors, I just doesnt feel right with that great big white panel centre stage.

However I dont mind individual letters like he volt yellow. That seems to work quite well. Trouble is it wont work on stripes...unless we go pinstripe maybe.
