Are we getting a new kit at some point for div.1?

According to my contact within the club, the new home shirt will have a collar and the badge will be replaced with a big seagull, just like on the yellow shirt.
Well i won't be buying one then if that is the case.Safeway said:the badge will be replaced with a big seagull, just like on the yellow shirt.

In marketing terms, if you have a simple symbol or logo that's instantly recognisable as yours, even without any writing on it, it indicates that you have a very strong brand- look at the Nike swoosh for example. It doesn't need a name or description on it.
The most recognisable sporting logo in the world is the New York Yankees emblem, and it's the most simple design possible. It doesn't need any embellishment or additional wording, it's just perfect from a marketing point of view.
People link us instantaneously with the seagull, it couldn't be any other club's badge. The fact that people will know it's our shirt just from a simple seagull design tells you how strong an image it is, and how well known our club is. "Brand awareness" is the marketing speak for it.
Our badge has changed loads of times over the years in any case. Think of the classic Wolves shirts of the 1970s, all they had was a single wolf's head on, yet you know it's them straight away. It'll be the same with us and the seagull, personally I like the idea and can't see why it's a problem.
