Yes of course, that's exactly what I said.

Yes he did a shit job last season, but he doesn't deserve to have the piss ripped out of him for it. The man was hopelessly out of his depth but he didn't try to fail, believe it or not. I also see him as largely responsible for a lot of the success the club has had over the last 10 years.

Exactly, Successive promotions is hardly the stuff of a bad manager is it?

I find it very hard to forgive the shit served up by him this time around, especially with his wank comment about not knowing he had to be 7th by Sep/Oct. THAT came back to bite him in the bum didn't it.

Reading the Port Vale fans forum. EVERYONE on there seems to be convinced that Adams is the man for the job. Citing his 'passion on the touch line' and his track record consisting of 3 promotions.

Now I know he worked wonders first time round here, and his record up to 2003 was good, but since then he has been going one way.

Oh, and one poster said that as he took us up, he would surely be able to take them up as Vale are a much bigger club than the Albion!!!

He's also applied for the Burton Albion job, but nothing's been said of that yet.

I'll always like Micky as a man, and he is legend for the first time he was here. But come on people, he was dreadful this season for many reasons and therefore you have to accept that people are going to be angry and annoyed with him, especially the younger fans who couldn't bask in his brilliance first time around. I'm sure this time next season when Slade has us performing well, we will all be back to loving Micky again. But for now, it's too soon to forgive.

I hope he gets another job in football, I don't wish any one out of a job. But my personal opinion is that the game has moved on, and Micky's management style is no longer what works. I hope he proves me wrong though, as I said at the start of this post, I like him as a man and I'll wish him all the luck and success, but doubt he'll get it.

If Adams takes it lets hope he signs Hawkins, McLeod and Livermore

:clap2: Not Livermore, he'll be quality for us next season. But the other 2 he is welcome to!

He will take some seasoned pros to the club and do for them what he did for us in his first stint and gain them promotion. Possible some of our released players may have a 2nd chance with him.

and the pleasure of signing Mayo on a free transfer beckons !!

I sincerely hope Kerry Mayo finds himself a club in the football league, he's been a brilliant servant to us and I really do hope he finds himself somewhere, Micky getting a job would be absolutely ideal for him! And maybe for Sullivan aswell.
