Regular readers will know that Northstandchat spawned a Greyhound Racing Owners Syndicate which is now approaching its 6th anniversary.
Since 2010 we have owned and run seven greyhounds, all of whom have been named following nominations and a poll here on Northstandchat.

This week ALBION TOGETHER won the Owners Cup at Hove and scooped £500 - our biggest ever prize.
ALBION CALDE, named in honour or our departed hero, and ALBION BLUE are the three still running, the others having retired.
ALBION BLUE has just two more runs to notch up 100 for the syndicate, so we have taken the decision to thank him for his service and hang up his jacket.
With Albion Blue due for retirement, and the bank balance looking good, we have identified our eighth dog and he will be joining the others at Ballytag kennels at Gatwick shortly http://jasonheathtrainer.com/
The new arrival is a small black dog, who has just come over from Ireland after one race in Cork. His name is currently Coolykereen Gale
As previously we need to turn to Northstandchat to help us choose his new Albion name. So first we need your nominations:
The rules are we are only allowed 16 characters and this will include ALBION_ so you have nine to play with.
Nominations close Sunday night at 9.30pm
Then we will choose two or three from the nominations that will go in to a poll for you all to vote on
The winner will be announced, the paperwork gets done and our new dog gets run under his new Albion name inside a week or two.
