The dull part of the south coast
Blimey, we are an ungrateful lot on this forum , or are we bored, have too much time on our hands or do we just want something to fail and be proved right.

If TB read this he’d ask himself why does he bother. But we know why.
There are a number of people on this forum, and elsewhere, that whatever Tony and the club do to try and make a visit to the Amex an enjoyable occasion will whinge about it. With ‘The Terrace’ soon to be opened the moaners have come out of the woodwork - “This won’t work, too expensive, catering will be shit, the place will be rammed etc etc”. There is an easy answer - don’t f***ing go! That way those that want to experience our new fan zone can make up their own minds once it’s opened without all the carping rammed down their throats beforehand. :annoyed:

A lot of people can’t comprehend something if it doesn’t cater to their exact needs. If it doesn’t suit them, it’s useless. It’s main character syndrome.

I particularly like the idea that something isn’t working because it’s rammed. Like… that means it is definitely working.

Indeed. People are coming across as a bit precious.

Funny the things our fans complain about these days!

Precisely. So what you’re saying is if you don’t enjoy “expensive” fayre, “shit” service and a “rammed” setting then don’t use it? I quite agree FWIW.

Well Im excited. I also wonder if Tony will re-apply for the hotel now that already part of our beautiful stadium is concealed from the road, we have a style and roof lien to copy. With more bars on the ground floor it would create an avenue to walk down which could be immense.

om a side note - whats happening to Bennett's Field? Still the silly block of student flats with no easy access to the station or parking?

And if Man City can extend one of their stands, looking like the extension is self supported, surely we can extend the South stand in the same way!

'The Terrace' will find it's own level. The grockles will hate it because they can't put coats on seats for their ten mates five hours before kickoff. The downstairs will hate the upstairs. Many diners will hate that there's nowhere to plonk their Lost Boys chicken wings and will hate that the rufio sauce burns their mouth and makes their nose run. Promises to be the hilarious mother of all Marvellous Scenes Moanfests earlydoors before bedding down into being accepted as a welcome addition to the Matchday Experience. I love it already, for above-mentioned reasons

Absolutely, and there thousands more that will enjoy the experience. Obviously you’re not going to use the Terrace for fine dining with haute cuisine but if it’s an opportunity to have a few beers and chat football with your mates then it’s ideal. Whatever takes yer fancy.

Just a large number of grumpy middle aged/older men on this forum.

Long old day that would be. :drink:
