Read this in the metro today.

New EU rules will end confusion as to what you can and can't bring into the UK in the wake of the airline "terrorist" threats by banning any liquids above 100ml from being taken on board a flight in hand luggage PERMANENTLY!

They will still be allowed to be checked in but at a much higher risk of breaking.

Funny thing is, for years the UK have been trying to work out ways of reducing the flow of cheap foreign alcohol into the country without affecting their beloved duty free shops and airlines.

Conspiracy theorists, it's over to you!

By the way, I am not one for conspiracies myself. I think it very unlikely that the plot was made up in order to put a stop to cheap imports but I know a few people will.

It won't affect duty free, as anything you buy airside of the security is allowed on board.

Exactly. Anyone who wants to take liquids on board is an idiot.
