Brighton factually.....
Great to see the club were proactive behind the scenes straight away, win - win for club and player.

Now put Derby to the sword like we should have last year, this club really is going all in for promotion and this addition proves it, no way would we have got someone in at this late stage in the season any other time.

Come on Albion....

Worthing
Slight worry about some of the surprise and negative comments coming from Norway.

One football page suggested that he is a good player though, but rather slow. Apparently has a good left foot.

Another posted a picture of jubilant David Wagner...

All good fun.

A good left foot?
That's three left footed CBs then........
Of course professional footballers should be two footed, so good cover.

Manager Chris Hughton commented, "Vegard is a player BensGrandad had been aware of for sometime, and with the absence of Shane Duffy and Connor Goldson, we felt it was important to take this opportunity to add to our defensive options".

Yes, and predictably for a Norwegian CB commanding in aireal duals, on the face of it ideal cover for Duffy. Albion need to get him match fit ASSP.

In a sense he's mainly cover for Uwe now I suppose. In the nicest possible way, I hope we never get to see him play - because that would mean Dunk stays out of trouble and Uwe is bossing things too.

Amended for you.

I like that it is quite funny but just to put the record straight I have never heard of him unrtil seeing his name and record on transfermarket. At least unlike last season we havent perserveered with square pegs in round holes.

One thing i will comment on is that porno tash. It needs to go asap.

Au contraire - I think it's rather dashing and probably reflects how Vegard has been spending his time while waiting for the Albion's call. Didn't Dirk Lehmann also have a porno moustache when he was here? They're obviously de rigour for slightly suspect european or scandinavian imports to the south coast.

Seem to remember Ankergren sporting one when we won the L1 title - got a mention from Charlie Oatway too at the parade along the seafront.

American sportsmen seem to have a superstition that they dont shave until their team wins the title etc...I think this is a perfect chance for all our players to grow the porno 'tache until we are promoted!

He signed for saints for 4 million in January, released after 6 months. Something not quite right, but appears to have the pedigree of championship level.

He wasn't released, at all. He was sold back to Molde for an undisclosed fee. Many are assuming that was pennies, but the Southampton Daily Echo (we'd expect the Argus to know close to the truth) reported it at the time, as 'close to the figure they'd paid'.
