Pity it's not Grayson, I would've loved to see the Dirties lose their manager and Beckford in January.

on a side note that was never a penalty, I would LOVE to see the FA balls up and use video evidence after matches to punish divers, that would be FAB!

So would I, I think it may come in next seaosn

the main problem is the result would all ready of been affected so you can see alot of managers getting pissed off with that, thats why the punishent needs to be harsh to somehow warrant the score....if you see what I mean!

I agree, but there isnt really a lot you can do. You could say the same with red cards. If someone was unjustly sent off that affected the game you cant do anything.

I do feel sorry for the refs, I havent seem the Blackburn Pen but Im sure he will get blamed for it when he isnt the one in the wrong.

yeah good point.

the ref in this game would've seen it as a foul from his position, even the lino on the far side would've had difficulty seeing it but from the TV angle it was a blatant dive.

O well roll on next year, I am assume UEFA at least will bring it in after the Arsenal Celtic game.

Blatter is most adamant that TV replays will not be brought in by FIFA for any decisions, so our FA cannot bring it in. The ref got both penalty decisions exactly right in the Burnley v Blackburn game the only mistake was not giving Jensen a Red Card in my viey Gray mst be the least knowledgeable, pndit on TV as the Burnley player was not in the box or even on the line when the tackle occurred.

OOOO good shout... Has Laws won a game?

Least Adams kept Portsmouth up

I thought he got sacked before he had the chance to take them down?

I have never seen a manager look so utterly clueless as Tony Adams. I remember him standing on the Withdean touchline looking completely bewildered when his Wycombe team were getting battered 4-0 by us. He had absolutely no idea what to do next.

He came across, both at Wycombe and more publically at Pompey, as someone who has real difficulty relating to people, and thus his man-management skills were severely lacking. He only seemed able to relate to his own life experience, which was shaped so significantly by spells in prison and rehab, that he just spouts David-Brent-style management buzzwords and phrases, and you can imagine his players sitting in the dressing room thinking "what the hell is he on about now?".

Terrible manager. Hope he gets the Arsenal job one day :lolol:

I only saw the first one but if you think that was a pen and a red card you're even more senile than i thought you were

The goalkeeper tripped the attacker and gave away a penalty and there is no more clear cut example of a red card for stopping a goalscoring opportunity than this as the player, without being tripped would have been past the keeper.

I liked the story about Tony Adams coming into the dressing room after another Pompey defeat and, when the players were waiting for a thorough post-mortem, simply said "mistakes cost goals" and walked out.

This story may or may not be true, and it almost certainly paraphrased/told wrong, but I definetely heard it somewhere!
