O'Driscoll would be better than Laws or Clark IMO
surely no chance of that happening!
O'Driscoll didn't take training at Donny this morning
Would be a great choice. Fair enough, they may go down, but he's a great long-term manager and wouldn't be surprised if he made them an established Premier League club.
Not sure why, but I don't really rate O'Driscoll. He's been given the horrible "Wenger of the lower divisions" tag, which is never going to get anyone promoted from the Championship quicker than an Ady Boothroyd style team. A bit fortunate to get Bournemouth through the play-offs, and Donny have been treading water for a while now (Brian Laws should get that job if he goes). O'Driscoll's overall record is not all that good. By all accounts the deal is done, so he could make a name for himself here. Burnley players are in for a shock - polar opposite of Owen Coyle in terms of personality, although similar football ethic.
I think the reason I like him is that he's been at good clubs where he's been given time to improve the team. Bournemouth he had a pretty varied time to be honest, but I think he's done wonders at Donny and they're now in far better shape than they were. To be honest, its just nice to see a decent lower league manager that has bided his time being given a chance at the top level.
