Went past today and think it is good

Art is a very subjective thing. The artist has made their creative interpretation of that moment for that player. Sometimes the better works of art are the ones that are divisive and split opinion. I like it, Realism is so 19th Century...

So the guy is better at art than I will ever be and it’s certainly an improvement, but it’s still not great IMO the arms are tiny and his head looks bloody huge, why is there no badge? It could also be that the other mural was so good that this one looks bad.

I think the original muriel was absolutely superb. This one is now just crap (a slight improvement on appalling).

I can't get my head around why the artist who did the original wasn't employed for this one. Maybe this "artist" was significantly cheaper? You get what you pay for I suppose.

I like the fact that people have gone to the effort (and likely expense) at doing this and that should be warmly applauded.

They are simply unfortunate that the original was so good and so well loved by so many. Anything new was going to be directly compared to that and, unfortunately, negatively by most.

Wrong. This is a free advertisement for the artist, not something created from the goodness of ones heart. Being given that space free for your own advert is a priceless gift.

He obviously thought he could more than match it but failed miserably.

Agreed. I think it's because the original was so good that we're all underwhelmed with this one. Looking at the guy's other work though, ok I'm not a fan, but he does seem to have his own style and this picture is true to it. Pity we couldn't have the original back but there you go. 'He who pays the piper' and all that. At least it is way better than it was.

I think it is personally dogshit.

I would happily contribute towards a funded Piece in town if a space can be located. The previous one was perfect in every way.

I bet Picasso, Dali and Van Gogh had to live with derision back in the day too. Not a fan myself but that means nothing.

I think of Bruno as friendly warm person, that mural comes across as a bit threatening to me

I feel sorry for the artist but that first one was shocking.

Why has he decided to change his mind and give Bruno the correct umber of fingers? it's not like this is subjective.

This whole story has been funny though :) every cloud and all

He should sign his art as W4nk5y and disappear to not ever be seen again.

That shirt is shocking! Stripes all over the place

Remember it’s art, you can do art terribly and then claim it’s in the eye of the beholder and that art is individual. Or it’s just rubbish, I have so many gripes even the small details you would think are easy like the ‘once a seagull, always a seagull’ is wonky and looks like a year 4 hand writing.

How difficult is to paint some vertical stripes?
