Hi all,

I'm compiling data on Brighton and Hove Albion and was wondering if people here knew who the most likely successor as captain will be now that Crofts has been sold and Virgo released?

I would guess at Tommy Elphick because whenever Crofts has been subbed/not played, Tommy has captained. But I would expect us to bring in another captain.

Gus rates El Abd very highly......he impressed hugely for the last half of the season. Think he could get the nod .

Just because he rates him highly, doesn't make him captain material....

As has been posted above, I think he'll sign our new captain this summer. I can't see anybody in our current squad who is current captain material. Elphick could do the job in a few years if he's still around, but IMHO not yet
