Laugh or Cry?

I'm not sure whether to laugh or cry.

Life supporting the Albion can be so cruel. We should have come away 1- 4 winners yet we travel home pointless. Yes you can blame Mason but professional footballers at any level should hit the target from 12 yards and certainly be able to side foot a sitter into the net from a lot closer in.

I laughed when Pascal did a shit impression of Fernandes, when Mason knew he cocked up for the free kick and when the commentator didn't have a clue why a free kick was awarded after Welbeck's penalty. I was close to angry tears at the final whistle. No wonder i no longer have hair after almost 50 years of supporting my beloved Brighton.

We are cracking PL team until that final third.

Half Full Or Empty?

It's no fun at the moment, we are all suffering but how is your Albion pint glass?

Half Full?
- Our quality football will produce goals & wins.
- There are 3 teams worse than us.
- Wins against Newcastle, Liverpool, Spurs, Leeds & Villa prove we are good enough.
- Our luck has to turn.
-If Lallana stays fit & Webster returns we will be just fine.

Half Empty
-You make your own luck and that's why we don't get any.
-We don't have the men for the fight like a Burnley.
-Fulham's form will see them through.
-Our strikers aren't good enough.
-The curse of non-stripe shirts will strike again!!

Alternatively you can stop worrying, read about the good times & raise money for Macmillan

For all enquiries; simon-jane@tiscali.co.uk

£11.50 collection only or £15 inc P&P.

BBC Radio Sussex

This morning I appeared on BBC Radio Sussex; so a massive thanks to Danny Pike & Johnny Cantor.

The purpose of my appearance was to thank the Albion community and BBC listeners for supporting the campaign and for a final push on sales, as I am looking to shift the last few boxes of books. However that thanks is not exclusive to them its to Bozza, everyone on here, the Albion Roar lads, Albion supporters in the UK, Ireland, USA, Australia, France & Germany.

From The Gutter To The Stars is a detailed memoir from the turn of the Millennium to when we said goodbye to Chris Hughton. It also documents my personal life as sadly my wife, sister and mum battled cancer during this period.

To date we have sold over 500 copies meaning our gross takings are around 9k and way over 4k can be gifted to Macmillan. Its an amazing effort but I still have a few more to sell. The feedback has been great so please spread the word and if you haven't got a copy yet please do so and lets raise 5k plus gift aid to an amazing cause.

All enquiries: simon-jane@tiscali.co.uk

£11.50 or £15 including p&p

9K Income Exceeded

Today is a magical day as the project gross income has exceeded the 9k barrier.

To date we have sold 518 units with another 16 currently on reserve. As for our income position with a direct contribution to Macmillan included we have grossed £9038, meaning as things stand the charity will benefit to the tune of £4353, which we will gift to them.

I had a stock of just over 600 to sell so PLEASE PLEASE lets get these sold, the project closed and present the money (hopefully 5k+) to MacMillan.

Many thanks for your ongoing support.

Brighton factually.....
Excellent book, thoroughly recommended toilet or lazy sunday afternoon reading....

I don't mean that in a bad way, you can pick it up flick through it and start anywhere...

A book every beer swilling, away day travelling, reminiscent Albion nutjob can relate too.

KInd Words

Ladies & Gents

Thanks for all the kind words, I am glad you approve and that my work keeps you amused when you are straining away on the loo!!!!!:smile:

The Albion community and NSC in particular have been amazing in supporting this project I am so very proud of us.

Yesterday I ran a competition on here; if you haven't seen it the other thread the winners were DJ Nobo and BN9 BHA. Congratulations to them both.

I know I must sound like a broken record but this project is on the final straight, I have got about 10% of the original stock remaining. PLEASE PLEASE spread the word as a) I want to get over the finishing line and b) I would really love to gift Macmillan 5k plus. It would be a terrific end to a horrendous journey on my wife's health front. With love & best wishes.

Had the pleasure of meeting the author last week when l went to collect my copy, Simon Medhurst is a very interesting & likeable guy.

However as the book is intended to be my birthday present from the wife, l was forced to give it back to her until my birthday. Still three weeks to go before l can start to read it!

I can definitely recommend this book, I haven’t read it cover to cover yet, but had a flick through and read a few bits and it looks very good.
