New Bike advice

I'm looking into buying a new bike, for £600-£1,000 and wondered if anyone could make any recommendations.

I am currently looking at Orange, Felt and Marin.

Something fairly strong for the forest then but faily light for all day riding ??

yes mate, but on that site you can build THAT frame up to a complete bike based on how much you wanna spend !!

I recommend that you shop around and ask lots of questions, I bought my road bike from Evans in Gatwick and I had poor after care service.

I had a couple of problems and they were eventually sorted out by the great staff at Rayment Cycles, by Preston Circus. My wife and a friend both bought ridgeback bikes from Syds 2 on Portland Road, and again great customer service and advice.

I wish I had spent my money with one of these as the back up and advice you get is much better. If they are good they will ask you questions and discuss your needs and what’s available on your budget.

Once you have selected what bike, go and try them out up at Evans at Gatwick, you can try them out at no obligation if you leave a CC swipe. Ring ahead to check they have your size in stock, then you can order one from your local shop.

Plenty of cyclists will give you their opions (good and bad) on various bikes.

If you are employed or own your business you may be eligible to use the following scheme, I know someone who is currently getting £1400 worth of road bike for £700. Check out the following sites but I am sure your local bike shop can also sell to you under this scheme.

I work in Hove, so Brighton is no issue. Quite regualrly go into Rayment for any parts I needed, and I know they are good.
