So have you heard Now and Then? Just given it a try and now playing it again. I like it although it does feel like an early Lennon solo track. What about you?

Reeks of ELO. Is Jeff Lynne involved? He usually is.
I've heard that one of The Beatles once answered "ELO" when asked what The Beatles might have sounded like had they stayed together in the 70s.

Decent but yeah the more polished production makes it sound like ELO - I'd probably prefer it with more of-the-time, scruffier production tbh.

Have a soft spot for The Beatles as my Dad had this cassette collection

Now and Then is a little bland though, still added to my playlist anyway.

"Dad" music.
When a previously edgy group grow older they seem to lose the ability to make "cool" contemporary music and instead make"Dad" music.

But I've never liked The Beatles.

Obviously unfinished, just the sort of words you sing as you're starting to write a song. Less ELO than the 90s dirges at least

he would have worked on it when they started and abandoned it in the 90's when they also made free as a bird/real love
