New and Very New NSC Members

A fair few of our new members this season have been people looking to either buy or sell spare tickets.

I know this because if their accounts are verified quickly, I tend to get an email begging for them to be activated. I'm often tempted to ignore those for a while (but don't) as it doesn't feel quite right that they have no real interest in contributing to the community, but just want to strike a deal

what was you cut on it ?

Hi Bozza, completey off topic but just noticed that NSC are an hour out. Naughty boy you havn't put the NSC clock forward yet:)

Edit: Blimey either I'm going mad or it changed as I posted !

The time NSC displays is personal to you based on your settings here:

North Stand Chat

If you want the time to auto-adjust when the clocks change you need to say so.

I found the site after getting bored of the same few people saying the same thing on the Argus website, where I previously went to hear the BHAFC chatter. Didn't know the site existed before a few days ago, I'm afraid.

Perhaps a mention in one of the upcoming programmes would send a few more people here (if indeed you want more people here!)

For my part, as a life long (45 years) Albion fan, I didn't know the site existed until I got an iPad 2 for Christmas.
Being exiled somewhat - I live just north of Reading and have done since 1984 - it has been a brilliant 'tool?' to keep close to what is going on around the club. I am sad/glad to say I almost couldn't do without it now as every spare second I have, I find myself having a look. I have never been a member of or even really read any forum at all prior to this one and continue to marvel at the diversity of opinion, the humour, the anger, the passion and generally the cohesive way it all works.....I learn new bits every day and although I haven't posted much have certainly felt closer to the community that is Our Albion.

I wish some posters on NSC would finally get over the fact that those who joined recently or have low post counts are NOT necessarily NEW albion fans. Being a long term member of a forum does not give you priority or super fan status.
Some people prefer to be read only visitors to NSC - nothing wrong with that.
Sorry to be so touchy about this but just had enough of others on here always assuming I've just started supporting the albion because of my low post count and responding accordingly to my posts. ( For example being called a JCL or simply disagreeing with what I write even if someone with a much higher post count posted the exact same thing!)
Rant over.
(BTW a supporter for over 35 years)

I think your post was right on the mark.

Good luck and enjoy your future involvement with the board but don't let it screw anything else up !

Not sure I need to justify myself joining as surely new members are vital. It would be quite dull if only the same people posted without any fresh minds to add their banal thoughts.
That said I've been following the albion for 30 years, 4 as a season ticket holder, yes four! Like many others got disillusioned post goldstone not just with the albion but football in general. However the main reason I recently joined is I kept being told to go on nsc and I thought I was missing out on a really good porn site. You can imagine how disappointing it all is ......

I have noticed a huge number of new memebers on NSC that have registered over the last few months....

Are people really that superficial that they are only interested in Brighton now they are 4th and have a new ground?

Why didn't you guys register years before?

Just curious....not a dig
Its the same on here as a club getting crowds of 8k then getting promoted and getting 20+,thats what about 40% of what fans do all over the country.

When ever i speak to a fan i dont know, almost the first question i ask is are you on nsc, most have not heard of it. So I tell them about it, i suppose some must sign up maybe this is the reason, Allso speaking for myself i only signed up at the start of this season as it was not worth being a member of a forum when it was allmost impossible to get a match ticket. now with the new ground (increased capacity )i have something to say as i have managed to see the game:D

Do you really think that the only way one can demonstrate interest in Brighton is to register on NSC? Good grief.

Worthing
After years of watching the Albion last year I suddenly found there was something missing for me - I suddenly found I no longer had anything to get cross / frustrated about (curse that Gus Poyet) - so by joining NSC I filled that void in my life by getting cross at all the idiots who come on here and still find it possible to moan about everything.

I have supported BHAFC for years, but just never felt like registering on NSC. I didn't even know it existed, but I signed up for the first time earlier this year when some of the squad were arrested, because I thought there might be more information and discussion on the forum than if I just read the Argus.

I didn't realise that you had to join a forum if you wanted to be considered a true fan.
