"From Monday 13 May Stagecoach will launch a new bus route, the 701, running between Eastbourne and Brighton via Seaford and Newhaven.

The hourly service, which will operate on Mondays to Saturdays, will link passengers to locations including the Amex Stadium, home of Premier League club Brighton"

Might be of use to those that travel from the east of the Amex (unless it's a Sunday match)?

Yep Stagecoach historically operated a Brighton to Eastbourne service going back to it's Southdown days, finally giving it up twenty plus years ago.

It will be interesting to see what the passenger levels will be like.

I assume as it is based on Eastbourne it will come under Stagecoach South East division which seems to have chronic driver shortages judging by by number of cancelations they post on Sussex Travel Watch.

There's already a bus running between Brighton and Eastbourne going via Falmer - the 28. Sounds like this one is copying the route
