Never say "Never"

Does it annoy you when people use the word "never" in reference to your behaviour when the factually correct word to use would be "rarely". The same can be said of the word "always" when factually accuracy would dictate the use of the word "often" or even "sometimes".
Examples are: You never do the washing up" or "You always leave a wet towel on the bed".
Why do people ALWAYS exaggerate?
What are you always accused of never or slways doing which really gets on your nerves?

In a similar vein, it annoys me when a commentator says something like "that score will NEVER be beaten" .. . how do you know ? Never is a very long time
