I want Blackburn to go down as 'reward' for sacking Allardyce. Not that I'm an Allardyce fan as such but it would be good to see Blackburn suffer some consequences for being yet another club to be unhappy with 'only' being mid-table in the Prem and believing they somehow deserve better.

I'd like to think they'd be an example and other clubs will think twice before sacking a competent if unspectacular manager in the vain hope that the grass would be greener with someone else in charge - but I'm not holding my breath. Looking forward to to the time when we moan about 'only' being a mid-table Premier League team!

Certainly is. The publicity stunt has gone wrong. It shows a real lack of understanding of football in this country. They would have been better off putting their money in to a club say in Div 2. They could have afforded it, and got much better press.

This. Added to which, Blackburn are another one of those clubs I have a completely irrational dislike for as well. No idea why, just don't like them.

Absolutely agree with that. Shocking example of how to run a newly owned Football Club, and then replace him with a manager who has never had Managerial experience and expect him to finish in the top four.

The only person I feel sorry for is Jack Walker. He put millions into the club and when he died put the club into a trust. Now, I'd expect the trust to do the right thing and not flog the club to people who know nothing about the area, the club or football in general. This is one of the reasons the Everton Chairman doesn't sell as he wants the right ownership not some JCL who wants to sell some more chicken.

I hope they go down. They would be nowhere near relegation with Allardyce in charge (Who I have no real love for either, if he had become England manager it would have been Graham Taylor Mark 2)

I hope they go down simply because it feels like the new owners have taken over the club for the wrong reasons.
There going to find out very shortly the amount of cash they are going to lose by dropping down to the Championship. Lower crowds, less income, less of everything. And secondly they will be the team to beat next season by everyone. So its not going to be an easy ride for them next season.

I find it a bit odd feeling sorry for someone who's dead, but maybe that's just me.

Agree with everyone!! Deserve everything they get! Its just a shame the fans have to suffer just because the premier league let absolute nobodies without any knowledge or interest in our game own our clubs, pumping money into them and then leaving them to rot when they realise its not working! absolute joke!

5 hours on and not one pedant has picked up on the thread title spelling error. This site is going to the DOGS.

(But I agree with the sentiment, and hope they go down)

It seems to me that Blackburn was Jack Walkers passion. I can imagine one of his dying wishes was that the club was looked after. Clearly it hasn't been. He must be turning in his grave (unless he was cremated, in which case that could be a bit tricky)

I understand the sentiments, just thought it was a funny was to express it. Still, they are still the only club, outside of United, Chelsea and the Arse to have won the Prem. The new owners have shown little appreciation of the game, at least with SA they would have been no-where near the drop zone. Something aboit Kean I don't like, but not sure what. Still, there are worse teams in the division, so probably won't go down ... just. Wigan and West Ham will, I fear for Blackpool, but Wolves might not survive instead.

I bet Kean is the guy at everyones work who would shaft his granny to get the top job. Allardyce seemed to imply that is what happened to him and Kean's demeanor seems to suggest as much.

I'd love Blackpool to stay up at thier expense.
