I think this is the best nimby story of our entire saga. I live near wycombe and there's an almighty row going on presently over Wycombe wanderers & Wasps proposed new stadium outside the town in a rural location v.close to the m40. Sound familiar? It gets better friends. Last night at a storming public meeting attended by over 500 angry local residents and local councillors I have it on good authority from a Wycombe supporting work mate who attended that one of the residents stood up and objected on the grounds that new football stadiums are the root of all evil. And that's precisely why, the packed congregation were informed, she sold up and moved from FALMER nearly 4 years ago because of "Brighton and bloody hove Albion"!! You couldn't make it up!! :yahoo: Clearly furious, she angrily protested she'd have to move again.

There is a god. And he's laughing at you nimbys. For making our lives hell. Superb!!

The answer is obvious..move to Withdean. It would take her 6 months to get the deal sorted and her "blighted" house sold to a Wanderers fan..

But why do Wycombe have to move anyway? Their ground is only 20 years old at most.

poor access and it's not really big enough for wasps

Are there really 500 local residents?

Here's Wycombe Air Park on the map - it's not exactly near lots of houses

booker wycombe - Google Maps

Please don't tell me the people the other side of the M40 are sticking their noses in?

Serves her right for moving close to a league club.

Where's she going next?

Indeed they are. They argue Wycombe are wasps are small provincial clubs and the area is an aonb despite the adjacent motorway

Brilliant!

Wasps need to move to a 20,000 stadium - Premier Rugby want all Aviva Premiership ground to be 20,000 in the next few years. Also there is the access to Addams park.
