He took a long time to write that, put it down, pick it up again, review it, practice saying it in front of a camera, put the finishing touches to it etc. Proud of his authorship, clearly convinced he is right, he then delivers it with a level of conviction that you usually only get from anti-vaxxer loons. At no point did it enter his mind that he might be losing perspective.
