Nothing related to what happened on the pitch but having to watch from home today as couldn’t get down from London the atmosphere at the Amex seemed poor considering what we are achieving. Very quiet.

Really? At the Amex it was amazing

Had to drive to Haywards Heath and get the train down.
Missed all the traffic kerfuffle we would have been caught in.
Last on the first train outta Falmer.
Hit every connection to Hackney Central, longest waiting time 2 mins max.
Had a filthy, proper filthy, burger in Patty and Buns.
Saw show at Hackney Empire.
Hit every connection coming home.

Today I've struggled to get my temperature right.
I've either been slightly too warm or a touch cooler than comfortable.

Rather ruined the day.

I've been back in Brighton for 17 years and the bike road has come down Coldean Lane for every one of those years. If it ever came down Ditchling Rd, it must have been in the dim and distant past

There were no negatives about today - I'm just basking in our exalted position.

Apologies. In which case why schedule a Premier League match for 2pm on a day when major roads in the area are closed due to bike riders. Anyone with half a brain would have considered the options and gone for a 5pm ko after the bike riders had gone away.

With now being able to go to games, I missed my cushion that I hide behind when I watch us on TV, the last 20 mins yesterday I really needed it. It will not fit in my A4 size bag.

Bozza don't you have rules about advertising on NSC? This is just a front for him to sell you his mates IPTV service.

Hey don't knock it until you've tried it.
He does a great deal if you know what I mean, mates rates, wink wink say no more....

Harveys lounge was a joke again at half time.

For the second game running they hadn't finished pouring the pre-ordered drinks before half time. Only three people working but all sorting the pre-ordered drink so queue was out the door again until some bright spark told people to queue directly at the bar meaning those of us who had been waiting suddenly had loads of people in front.

Gave up in the end. Can't remember the last time I didn't have a pint at half time. Probably good job I didn't though as by the time I would have been served I expect I would have missed Welbeck's goal.

Listening to the abysmal "punditry" on Sky Sports from Steve Claridge (who tried, but couldn't describe anything clearly that was going on) & the woman covering the Man U game (who just sat in silence when there was a penalty awarded, and explained nothing that was going on...just sat there smiling). Bloomin' awful....

I got a blister on my heel as I had to walk to the match. My son knocked his water over his programme, I knocked my water over my other sons trainers. :ffsparr:

The game was a joy - but getting there and back was not. Only 2nd time in 10 years at the Amex I have failed to see the Kick Off.

Well yes, that would have been the better option. And I wouldn't have had a mad dash from Hove Rec after our training session finished at 12.45.

By 5.00 the bike ride was nearly over (Coldean Lane had certainly opened) and Race for Life was over. I'm puzzled why 2.00 was chosen.

Negatives? Welbeck had the audacity to score when I was holding my bottle of coke, sans lid as per requirements. The effort required not to cover the bloke in front during the celebrations might take me a week to recover from.
