Seaford is just about perfect. Lovely unspoilt coast, beautiful countryside, decent pubs and some great restaurants.

Eastbourne and to me Peacehaven is an outlying suburb of Brighton.

eastbourne has the added bonus of stations in the vicinity called hampden park and berwick, which can lead to the never-gets-boring situation of asking train staff why a train from brighton to eastbourne goes via scotland

therefore, it gets my vote

Where's Berwick in Scotland? The only other Berwick that I know of in the UK is in England, in Northumberland. There's a North Berwick in Scotland but no place just called Berwick.

Oh, and I voted for Littlehampton because my kids really like it.

Is Peacehaven classed as a town?! Surely you need more than the meridian centre to be a town?

The only place that comes even remotely close to having any charm out of that lot is Eastbourne. God, Sussex would be shit without Brighton...

Because I spent the first 18 years of my life living amongst the LA massive!

Bognor Regis and Hastings were too far away to be considered, and lets face it, wouldn't have a chance of winning anyway.

I do actually quite like LA, although it is a little sleepy. Eastbourne is quite reasonable too and even has a half decent soccerball club but I can't help thinking the only reason it is winning at the moment is because it's BIGGER than the others.

I would have liked a 'none of the above option', but in the absence of one I voted for Newhaven. It's a complete shithole, but Wreckless Eric comes from there. And it was coming last, so I felt sorry for it.
