Worthing
He is not good enough for us...... I’ve seen all that ‘passion’ so many times before when things go wrong for him. He worked his socks off but his pass just before Wolves got the first sums him up of late....... crap.

BBC pitchside mics picked up Maupay's words with Moss. And I quote:

'I don't want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries'

Yes , think this was the tipping point , as i also couldnt believe Moss decision ,also , arguably a sending off offence , as was similar to Dunks offence

Another slow, incompetent buffoon, adjudicating Premier league , Its Absurd

It's a weak argument that it was like Dunk's - Maupay didn't have possession of the ball, or likely to get it, it was further out, there was a second defender covering, and it was more Maupay running into the well placed defender rather than the defender grabbing the shirt and pulling him back. To be honest, I think the free kick was because it also looked like Maupay gave the defender a tap on the head in frustration.

Maupay has been rubbish for months. His sending off is no loss to the team and will give Connolly a final chance to prove his quality in the final games. Or allow Zeqiri to play up front rather than left wing back.

Moss has been rubbish for years and years !,
yet he will probably still have a job next season

I agree although would say players always have a moan at the referee at full time and 99 times out of 100 the referee does nothing about it.

Having a moan and verbally abusing are two different things.
Maupay hasn't given a thought to the manager, the squad, the run-in. Just indulged in a selfish rant, following another mediocre performance. Hopefully it will create an opportunity for someone else and maybe Potter will see that he has other options than this ineffectual individual.

Maupay was fouled ,would have been on way to the goal , regardless of any where any second defender was, so we should have been given the Free kick ,
why should the foul be given the other way because of any reaction by the victim ??

Maup was kicked to death all game. Didn’t get a single decision his way.

Add to that the last minute winner, and emotions are high, you can understand him losing his cool. I also agree Moss is another infuriatingly arrogant and poor referee.

Have to be honest though. I’m far more gutted about Dunk missing games. Neal has hurt himself more than us here.

I felt Maupay played well again.

Was given nothing from Moss and had very few opportunities.
But his work-rate around the field, especially when down to 10, was exemplary.

Unfortunately he will be missed,
It will give AJ a final chance to prove himself.

Hopefully whoever replaces his does well and we don’t see Maupay in the starting 11 again for a long time.

He scored 4 goals in our first four games and has only managed four more in the 31 games since one of which was a penalty. Absolutely pathetic stats for a PL striker given how many chances we create.

If we stay with two up front, then hopefully Zeqiri get a chance to chance to start in his preferred position.
But in a wider context does Potter now lose faith in Maupay and look to move him on in the summer if we secure Welbeck for a another season or so and can bring in another forward.

Next time Maupay comments about the abuse he receives ... probably he'll get less sympathy ..... as I don't know what he said the the ref, but you have to say something quite bad to get sent off these days

As long as it doesn't mean watching Connolly falling over/diving I'm happy please give someone else the front role Potter. And send Connolly off on loan for a while.

Time to give Percy Tau a run-out for the remainder of the season shirley? Never be a better time to judge what he can bring to the table at this level

I really hope Zequiri, Tau or Connolly get a chance to take Maupays place.

It would help Maupay's cause if he had at least kept a clear head in front of goal in the last few games. But he didn't. And another shot blazed over the bar today.

At least he's got plenty of time now to practice his running off the ball as he won't be anywhere near the one on the pitch.

I disagree that he was fouled (and thinking you're fouled does not justify you reacting - in the eyes of the laws of the game anyway; players frequently get booked/sent off for reacting).

But even if he was fouled, the red card Dunk got was for denying a clear goal scoring opportunity. The things referees take into account when deciding whether to send someone off for denying an obvious goal scoring opportunity is how far from goal are they (do other players have a chance to catch up and cover), are there other defenders around who can cover? Did the player have control of the ball? Was the challenging player making a genuine attempt for the ball.

The answers to those questions are different - maupay was further out, there was a covering defender (who was more likely to get the ball). Dunk doesn't make that challenge wolves are one on one with the Sanchez. Maupay beats that one player he has to chase down the ball, hoping to beat the other defender to it, and then get around the defender before he even gets through, and that defender could simply delay Maupay allowing further defenders back to crowd him out and force him back/win back possession for wolves.

They were nothing alike.

OK, if you think so.

I think most would agree that if someone obviously dishes out abuse, then they'll probably get less sympathy next time they get it
