Are we there yet?
Popular opinion seems to be that we've signed both the best defender and the best striker in the championship last season.
Puts a bit of perspective on the negativity and impatience through the transfer window on here.

But lets not get carried away, We had the best player in the Championship the season we went up, unfortunately that doesn't always translate in the Premier League.
Dunk, Duffy, Stephens, Murray, Bruno etc etc also Knocky had some storming games. But lets not get carried away, We had the best player in the Championship the season we went up, unfortunately that doesn't always translate in the Premier League.

Yes good points, and potentially good signings indeed, though Maupay does seem similar to Andone, and we really need to look towards a Murray replacement/cover.
That’s not to say it won’t happen, perhaps Andone might be part of a swap....

Not knocking Murray, but if we intend to play a fast transitional style, why would we need a big lump up top?
We have plenty of height for set pieces, so we can get away with a shorter front line in open play.
Damned if you're ITK.
Damned if you're not ITK.......
Agreed......
Nothing to do with being ITK for me....it’s the constant ‘waaah waaah why haven’t we signed anyone’ type-rubbish that does my head in when the window is still open. It’s like being half way through your supermarket visit and panicking because you haven’t picked up any cereal yet even though it’s on your list and in the last aisle, and the shop doesn’t close for ages.

There’s something about these midland/northern clubs who used to be good back in’t day, that really pisses me off for some reason, villa fans on Twitter and social media seem like absolute dickheads, remember earlier in the summer when some drivel newspaper linked them with Dunk for £25m ( ) they were acting as if the deal was sealed and he’d be gagging to go there.
Hope they crash and burn this season.

Blocking this tedious bore now. Ruined the thread.
