Leeds also interested, so no contest.
Its every Albion players dream to sign for one of Europe's big clubs

I predicted this bidding war earlier in the thread. Absolutely perfect for us as we try to get a much of the fee for our next striker from the Maupay sale.

Maupay is a proven EPL striker and whilst not ‘top 6’ level or maybe even not ‘top 10’ level. He is much better than ‘bottom 3’ which is where he’d be heading with Forest.

I think Leeds fans would love him because they have hated him so much in the past. Once a shitehouse is ‘your’ shitehouse, you have a lot more time for them.

Let’s hope the fee gets nearer to £20m.

Haven’t we realised this sale is a mistake yet!? We cannot sign a decent striker. We get a decent striker. We sell him. Personally I wouldn’t let him go without a dead cert replacement

Well now that Everton, Fulham and Forest all want him - no way we should let him go!

Undav is the Maupay replacement.

But we’ve been hunting for the elusive ‘Welbeck profile’ striker for years. We may get one with Sima, Ferguson, Zeqiri or Tolaj in the long term but it would not surprise me if we signed one in the next two weeks. No surprise at all.

I would be staggered, who do you have in mind?

Pity there wasn't a bidding war for Bissouma. Im one fell £40M swoop United could have replaced both Fred and McTominey!

No way should we be selling him to another PL club. Our first target, according to GP on the Sky programme is 40 points. That's the same target as Everton, Fulham, Forest and Leeds. I really don't want to see him scoring against us either.

High value sale abroad is ok if we feel it's time to cash in. But not strengthening a direct rival.

Very little money abroad currently. Don't think it is an option really.

Forest transfer spending heading towards £150m. I think we spent £45m in summer 2017.

And unlike Fulham's attempts at each promotion, they've a win under their belt already.

Do Marinakis and Cooper have a plan?

They have made some good signings and also have a better manager than Fulham had previously. I said before the season, I think Forest will be fine.

Teemu Pukki not in the Norwich squad tonight.

I'm not suggesting him particularly, but I'm not ruling him out...

Wolves will be too. Everyone predicted a car crash after the departures of Saiss and Coady.

But they’ve signed:
Hwang £14m
Collins £21m
Guedes £27.5m and today
Nunes £42m. He runs games from CM.

Yep. I really don't see Wolves struggling.

Leicester on the other hand.....

Their owners are very wealthy, but they’re doing a rare thing in the EPL, openly cutting costs to stay within Sustainability Rules. Giving them an ageing, losing squad who concede goals for fun.

Imho they’ll get nowhere near the European places.

What a fall, from the team that brilliantly won the FAC in 2021.

Probably more to do with his x-ray on Monday rather than some PL transfer. I would be very surprised if he moves to Brighton, though not the end of the world if he in that case is very cheap and just signs a one year contract. But I find it unlikely.

It’s going to be tough this season. Cooper looks a great manager and has definitely got some quality in. Wolves have had a wobble but the two Portuguese are seriously talented players.
Apart from Bournemouth I just can’t see any obvious candidates for the drop and really wouldn’t be surprised if a relatively big team gets caught up in it this year.
Selling Maupay to a team in a league this competitive seems a big risk, but I trust the club to make the right decision.
