Not in this case. Post the high level details of the bill and then your view. Anyone can just post random Youtube clips about politics but that doesn't make it a discussion.

Personally I blame pocket calculators. Without them they would still have to be able to add up and subtract. With them, all recourse to thinking for themselves could be abandoned.

Back on topic, common courtesy dictates that if you want others' views on a topic you should be able to express your own.

I have and im not surprised by it. I tried watching your video but couldnt stomach more than a minute. If you want people to discuss something you need to give them a better summary of the issue. Most people are going to disregard that video. It's too long and it looks like it was made by nutjob rednecks. Yes the repsonse is harsh but thats what happens on the internet it ain't going to change for you. It comes back to the point that if you want a discussion you need to be cleverer.

See Westdene's post. I never told you what the topic should have been, but then I know you're just obfuscating the issue rather than admit that I might, heaven forbid, have a point.. Now I know I've been a lazy boy in using youtube especially in your day you had to get up at 4.30 am and do your 'research' but then why does another thread with the opening page containing just videos recieve over 3,000 views?

I think it's more down to a lack of knowledge on the NDAA Bill than a lack of English.

1 - I know it's not your video

2 - The point i'm trying to get across is you wont get a discussion of the issue by posting a 10 min video. If you want a discussion on a n issue write a short summary of what it is. back it up with a link to a credible source (eg a repected newspaper or tv webiste).

You need to think about the medium, NSC isn't going to change for you, you need to tailor you're approach to your audience or your threads will all end up as like this.

I gave my view on the NDAA bill. As I said it's a worrying move but not surprising. The video you posted is far from balanced though and doesn't explain the bill at all. I'm against the bill but the hyperbolic youtube clip isn't the way to sway others or get their opinion.
