I'm sorry, I really don't want to start another binfest - but why don't you think for yourself for a change? You never know, you may even be right on this one.
It's a worrying move but not surprising. I think the alarmist video obfuscates the key point though (possible indefinite detention of US citizens without trial). Posting ten minute youtube vids isn't the best way to make a point.

Er, yes, that's my point. 'Discussion'. It's not 'NorthstandYoutubeClips'. Posting a YouTube clip is the intellectual equivalent of photocopying pages from a book and handing it in as your homework. So why is it called a discussion board?

hard life for you then
For a subject like this, as opposed to a quick clip of a dog chasing a deer or something - yes, that is exactly my point. Firstly as has been pointed out not everyone can access YouTube at work. Secondly that clip is ten minutes long, you'd have to make notes and watch it several times to grasp everything that's being said. What you should do is exactly that, and then come on here with a precis of what's being said, and, as you want to stimulate a discussion, your opinion and take on the matter. So if you put a youtube video on NSC, it is not valid for discussion? If thats your point then well made.
I wouldn't say no but something tells me it's gonna be personal.
EDIT: For an example see drew's 'God or Colour' thread. Could you do something like that?
Falmer you've got to start learning how to engage with people. Learn from past threads and stop expecting the board to change for you. It is what it is (right or wrong). If you want a discussion you need to explain the issue in your post perhaps with a link to a credible source, not just link to some youtube foxnews montage. And don't react aggressively to criticism (no matter how harsh or personal), by doing so you allow people to derail the thread and you lose credibility.
Why? I don't even know you!
I don't quite follow. I've tried to be helpful and polite, not sure why I warrant such abuse.'Is it possible for your head to be anymore up your arse?' thread.
Would that be better?
It does remind of an exam question.
"Picture or quote"
followed by "discuss"
What's the word limit?
