NAYLOR says Atilla should QUIT

I have often defended Naylor, because in the past I think some of the criticisms of his journalistic abilities have been based on ignorance, and that he's a lot better than you'd find on other local papers.

But I'm struggling with all this 'opinion' stuff. This case in point is just shit-stirring, plain and simple. If there is an issue/conflict between Attila's comments and his role, it's one for him and the club to resolve one way or the other, it doesn't merit a piece in the paper.

When did these opinion columns start? Strikes me it was about a year ago, must have been some conscious decision within the paper or sports desk. It isn't working, or being done right. Rather than stirring up meaningful debate, it's just looking like a series of petty vendettas being aired in public.

See if this concept is simple enough for Naylor...

Knight won't sack him, and Attila won't walk.

s.

Bit simplistic, that. What if, for example, Micky was well pissed off about it and demanded that Attila be taken off the PA saying something like 'I'm getting enough s*** without hearing it from the official announcer on the radio'? What would Knight do then? Sack Micky? Sack Attila? Sack both/neither/himself?

None of the above, The board would decide.

Somebody should point this gross spelling mistake out to Naylor. Adams is not spelt A T I L L A.

I think this just proves what an utter tw*t Naylor is.

I don't know about the rest of you, I thought the rant had blown over and yet Naylor can't resist digging it up again to have a sly dig at Attilla.

If anyone should resign it's him.

I was at school with Naylor and guess what? He wasn't up to much then either.

it makes you think that people should express their opinions to the Argus about how Naylor if out of touch.

I'm not Mr Naylor's biggest fan but..............last season he was hated with venom for not being behind the club. This season he is hated with venom for being too much behind the club.

They're all grown ups. They'd all get on with their jobs.

Who the announcer is is not Micky's business.

Of course, if Attila had said that over the PA, that's a different matter.

This comment will do for me, it was posted on the Argus website about 30 minutes ago.

If Mr Naylor, you do not have a problem with John Baine, why do you feel the need to start a crusade against him for voicing the concerns of many Albion fans?

From one Journalist to another, remember two key words 'objectivity' and 'impartiality' when writing and sub-editing your piece.

Remember that Knight is also a fan, an Albion spectator too.
He's probably talking about his own thoughts on the action in the boardroom and thinking the same as most disgruntled supporters in the stands.

Anyone saying "that was rubbish" on radio or in print is only expressing it because they are, at the time, in the position to do so.

If Naylor says "he should quit", then I'll join in on here saying Naylor should shut it and write about the game, not what one other spectator says about it.
