I though that as well, we need all the players we can get so hopefully gets sorted!

Club cannot appeal against a yellow - but the referee can rescind it in his report when he files it. Normally it takes a few days for reports to arrive at the FA so hopefully the Ref will ring his report through this morning and admit his mistake.

Whether he does or not is down to him, but imho it was a mistake - Navs has more in common with Jimmy Case than you might think and did not hear the instruction to "wait for the whistle".

The FA do not necessarily have to accept the rescinding though - they may also seek the view of the assessor in the stand.

Surely this incident proves there's a case for returning to the old system where a suspension didn't kick in until at least a week after the offence?

Navaro could have his card rescinded after he's been punished with suspension under the current regulations. Even if eventually proved innocent, The Albion will be without Navaro tomorrow.
