Could be less than 6 months if all goes well.

From physio room website:

"In addition to advances in the surgical procedure, there have been advances in post-operative rehabilitation that have seen a return to sports activity, in most cases, in less than six months."

Usually most of a season with a cruciate ligament, frankly would have been better if he's broken his leg.

Why do people bang on about Caskey? He won't play end of.Time to get a loan in.You can't throw kids in when you are aiming for a top6 finish. He won't be in the team anyway.

agree. Ligament problems can be very nasty indeed.

How long is his current contract???

IF he was out for this season at least he'd have a nice first game of next season to look forward to in some shiny stadium or other :)

Very true.A clean break would have been better.Nav will be out for a year now.

Other than a particularly bad break it certainly would. Fortunately, there have been massive advances in the treatment of cruciate ligament injuries, over the last decade or so. It's the injury that still brings a shudder to Sunderland supporters of my age, because of Boxing Day, 1962.
