Kent
Ernest the stupid too, Dick Knight has never played for us.

The Albion A-Z irritatingly lists the various countries of birth of Albion players, without identifying who fits each category (although you can trawl through the individual entries to find out).

The countries are:-

England 568
Scotland 118
Wales 36
Ireland 16 (+ pre-partition Ireland 4)
Northern Ireland 11 (+ pre-partition Ireland 4)
USA 3
Belarus 2 (Soviet Union)
Israel 2
Malta 2
South Africa 2

and 1 each from:-

Australia
Channel Islands
Germany (West Germany)
India
Netherlands
New Zealand
Nigeria
Pakistan (then part of India)
Romania
Singapore
Zimbabwe (then Rhodesia)

Obviously this doesn't include players who first played for the Albion from 1997-98 onwards. Wartime-only players aren't included either.

... and what about Andrei Kanchelskis? Wasn't he born in Nokia? Or was it East Grinstead?

I forget.

Edit: That didn't quite come out in the right font

Both El-Abd and Rehman were born in the UK and I don't think as yet have declared an intention to play for the countries of their parents. I think that rules them out.

Argentina - Frederico Turienzo
Australia - Paul Reid
Barbados - Mark McCammon
Congo - Maheta Molango
Cyprus - Alexis Nicolas
England - Guy Butters
France - Sebastien Carole
Germany - Dirk Lehman
Holland - Michel Kuipers
Iceland - Ivar Ingamarsson
Ireland - Paul McShane
Israel - Moshe Gariani
Italian - Lorenz Pinamonte
Nigeria - Emeke Ifiajiagwa
Northern Ireland - Gerry Ryan
Romania - Stefan Iovan
Scotland - Adam Virgo
Rami Shabaan - Sweden
Sierra Leone - Albert Jarrett
Trindad & Tobago - Tony Rougier
USA - Tony Meola
USSR - Sergei Gotsmanov
Wales - Nathan Jones

Gerry Ryan played for the Republic of Ireland.

Anyone remember the Australian David Clarkson? Has Steve Penney of Northern Ireland been mentioned (can't be arsed to trawl back...)

Oh, and John Robinson was born in Rhodesia.

Thought it was Matty Clarkson. Played against Manure with that stupid plaster covering his whole forehead:lolol:

Did McShane get one as well?

What about Alexis for Cyprus?

I haven't heard. I just read the article about Henderson today.
I believe Alexis turned Cyprus down last week to concentrate on the Albion?
