If Slade believes he is the best person for the job, then no problem.

He was a good player for us when he was here. What has happened since is irrelevant.

That is my feeling too. Slade has shown he is up to the job and when he got given his contract we were all saying he should be allowed to bring in his own support staff. Now we are saying he should be allowed to bring in his own support staff so long as it is someone we like.

I will trust Slade to pick the right man for him. As a fan I will just live with it.

If RS thinks that he can do the job better then what we have then I am all for it. If Jim McNulty is out for the start of the season I dont know whether he would still be good enough to fill in short term but it is worth a thought, failing that we need to sign eithera loan or another young left back as cover. Oh I forgot Livermore still has a year to run on his contract I think.

He was a good player for us, Jonah. He hasn't behaved in a way to endear him to us since, but none of that's irreperable I'd say.

For f*** sake we had Peter Taylor and Steve Coppell as managers, both of whom shined when they respectively played and managed at Palace, and they did a very good job for us whilst they were here.

Judge Jonah on his management skills, not some overexuberant behaviour in a couple of matches against us, it's irrelevant and it's history, so move on.

Totally agree. The thing about Jones is that he is 100% committed to the club he is at. Brighton fans loved him when he was here with us doing his stuff. Yes he acted like an arse when he has played against us, but he was doing the best for his team, and getting Anyinsah sent off helped his team. He's not the only player to have ever done that.

He loved his time at Brighton, still has a flat in the City and I think he would love to come back and would give a lot enthusiasm to the job. Personally not sure of his credentials though, but as said that is up to Slade to decide.

I think It may well be someone we have not thought of. Thompson was already at Yeovil and Salde made him number 2 so may be RS will use the chance to get somone he really wants to work with in?
