Think he has to go and prove himself. I think he can do well but he and we will never know until he tries it. You certainly can't go on two results..

Can't prove it but can't help thinking our lacklustre performances as the season tailed off might in part be linked to Jones becoming sidelined by Hughton.

That's exactly as I see it too. No impact in the dressing room only on the training ground after Calderwood came in. Unfortunately you can only coach the players so much. Once handed over to the manager on match days it is down to him to pick the team and tactics. Buck stops at Hughton and Calderwood for me.

Not a big NJ fan but I can see the logic behind this statement.

Hope the verdict is 'Not Guilty'

Plymouth are a big club, good support and a nice newly developed stadium.
No brainer for him as I am sure Hughton see's him as a threat.

Would be very dissapointed to see him go, but hope he gets it and goes on to do good things. Imagine the last of our passing style will go with him, we will just become another championship club with a journey man manager

There is an obvious link with Plymouth's Chief Executive being Martyn Starnes, who was Yeovil's CEO whilst Jones was on the coaching staff at Huish Park

Hope he gets it, they're a big club that deserves to be in the Championship at least, and Jonesy can take them there!

I tell you what if he does take over I'm putting some money on them going up this year.

Only just missed out on play offs last year under Sheridan after some dire times so appears a good bet. I would personally go the DOF route taken by Warnock if interested, with Jones as Head Coach.

I like him and like them. Unfortunatly don't think he'll get a chance here and not being the number 2 even, I expect he'll be off if offered it

It will be good for some of our under 21s if he goes there as a few of them might go on loan there

Reliable intelligence that the manager decision has been made but nothing on who just yet.

Also low grade intelligence that it's Jones with an announcement at 1700.

Any whispers your end? (save for the Hinshelwood 2+2 thing, we got that)

Brian Owen (a local journalist here) has tweeted that Hinshelwood is going to be working in the new academy. When Hughton joined he could only bring one of his own assistants and went with Calderwood. If Jones goes to Plymouth we might try to get Paul Trollope from Cardiff, since he worked with Hughton before. I don't know if his relationship with Cardiff/Slade is stronger than the one he had with Hughton, or if he was a little disappointed that Hughton chose Calderwood.

Cheers.

The hour is approaching and the beat of the 'jungle drums' is somewhat confusing to interpret... veering ever so subtly more towards Jones perhaps.
