I've long been an advocate of Jones as a person and a contributor to our club round these parts but it's now an 'out' for me. We need a clean sweep with a strong manager with his own backroom staff in tow.
How about Didi Hamann as No 2 to Sami. Similar playing experience together at Liverpool, possibly mates
Jones can stand and shout all day long as it means jack shite...Problem is we have players who've played in a high division and are experienced, then you get a skinny Welshman who's played virtually all his career in the bottom two divisions.Just don't see players looking up to him or amazingly taking in his amazing knowledge of the game as he's just got a few badges and comes recommended.Odd that Jones is the one standing at the side of the pitch for 90 minutes relaying orders while Hyypia comes out with the "not doing what they were told" line again and again.
If Tony Bloom believes in due diligence he is currently scouring the Championship and the "managers available" lists for replacements. I don't think he will pull the trigger yet but by the end of December he has to decide if he trusts Sammi and Nathan to inspire a team that needs to include at least two or three costly new signings.
Didi Hamann was a bit of a disaster as a manager-not sure he's what we need right now.How about Didi Hamann as No 2 to Sami. Similar playing experience together at Liverpool, possibly mates
It's like you have been at your job 20 years and they employ a 16 year old to motivate you with their amazing experience...Jones and hyppia are a couple of clowns.
Yes we got bloody lucky last season and I guess as a team finishing 6th you'd have to applaud both, but personally I don't like Jones and want him as far away from the club as possible. What an odd example. Could you explain how that is anything like what happened with Nathan Jones. For starters, he was part of the backroom team that got us to the play offs last year (which in my view was an amazing achievement).

Barking orders and the players ignoring them tells you things are not right and let's face it Jones is a bit of a weasle and not liked by many albion fans.I wonder what people would think if he took charge for a couple of games while the club looked for a new manager - and we won them both.
No one here has any idea how good or bad he is. Just seems fashionable to criticize him
Failing to recognise our current position...
It could be argued that with Oscar we got to the play offs despite Jones but in fairness Oscar wanted him to go to Tel Aviv with him. Do we really know on what basis Jones was appointed No 2 was it on football knowledge or the cheapest option. None of us really know and like you very few know what he actually contributes to the game plans and team selection. Possibly a cheaper option to change no 2 than manager, as Norwich have done but in their case I believe it is preparation for Phelan to become manager if results don't improve. That is possibly our worst scenario sack Hypia and appoint Jones as caretaker for 2 or 3 weeks.
Christ - someone on NSC in a not talking bo!!ocks shocker!!I'm not voting here, mainly because I don't have the facts to vote either way (and I would say nor do most people on here). Who on here knows what Nathan Jones does on a day to day basis? We probably are suffering from missing out on Sammy Lee but that's not Nathan Jones' fault and, if we got a Sammy Lee equivalent in, the two of them and Hyypia could surely work together.
I have no idea what part Jones had in getting us to the play offs as I don't know how much he does now. As I said, I doubt anyone on here has much idea. I think there's an argument that Sammy Lee is the one we missed out on in the summer and he could have really helped Hyypia but it's all conjecture.
I would be surprised if Hyypia brought in an assistant now as it would undermine him. Look at Fulham last year. Brought in Meulensteen to assist Jol and within weeks he's taken his job. Wouldn't be surprised if the same happens at Norwich over the season.
