If we sell White, then I can see this as a goer. About 25% of the transfer fee we’d get for White. Yes, we have Veltman but he also needs to cover the RWB position if Lamptey gets injured.plus Phillips is a young prospect and so his value will probably increase over time.

I really don't see us wanting to go out and buy another first team centre back. Leo Ostigard is next in line I'd have thought and if the club feel he's good enough then why go out and splash £10m plus on a position we're already nice and strong in? We need to use that money on bringing in a deadly striker.

This. Phillips is an old school ‘kick and head’ defender like Duffy, couldn’t be more different to White.
