The truth is Pascal's high standards did decline towards the end of last season.

He scored 4 goals and made 12 assists last season in the Premier League.

But they all came before March. After that his levels dropped, and he didn't score or assist any more goals in the remaining 14 matches.

We managed just 7 more goals in those 14 matches.

Looking at how Hurzeler had us playing yesterday, all action and quick counter pressing, Pascal is not that type of player.
Pascal was over played last season and so not surprisingly his form tailed off.
I’d love him to stay but sure he won’t.
Gilmour on the other hand is someone I would want to keep, at least for the forthcoming season.

Totally agree re Pascal and if we don't go for Garuda then Billy Must stay even if Gomez comes in. If Garuda IS the player FH wants then we should back him. As someone stated earlier 20-25m for the pair and Garuda coming in isn't a bad bit of Business.

So by the lack of posts, everyone has chosen to ignore or missed a report that Napoli are going ot increase Gilmour offer by..................................

£500,000.....
I'm sure this will be the deal maker!
They’re miles away.
Wasting their own time.

Hopefully Napoli have been told that we don’t do incremental increases and that we more than double the amount we paid for him.

Reports suggest that their 2nd offer is almost ready to present.

I still believe Gilmour’s agent has been buttering them up for a move after his client told them he was not expecting much game time under the new regime.
If they are using the Burnley strategy of incremental offer increases he will not be going to Napoli

Bet he’d have looked a lot better and had better stats playing in a team with March, Enciso, Ferguson, Mitoma and Estupiñan though……………..

Yeah like I said early in the thread... trying to negotiate with this team is a nightmare.

I don’t want us to sell him at ANY price. My MOTM on numerous occasions last season.
Would you be tempted by £200m?
£500m?
£1bn?

He's a decent player and we shouldn't give him away, but suggesting he's PRICELESS is over-egging the pudding somewhat.

Really would like both of them to stay, Pascal for one more year but in my view WBG has huge potential that is just coming out. We need to give him more time and try and add a couple of goals to his name. Then we will have an asset.
This. I think if Billy stayed, he would have the best season of his career with us. Great promise.

According to Fab, Billy is open to the move. I doubt the reported incoming bid of £12m will facilitate the move though.
Unless this is another….” we won’t stand in the way of anyone who wants to better themselves….”
